This is just an opinion, but I think this response was more than just a tad
inappropriate.  I would be the first to suggest asking for contributions
would best be achieved through other channels, where proper documentation
could attest to the merits of the petition (i.e. show it is not a scam).  A
newly connected Russian may be unaware of net etiquette, heck, he may not
even know much English!  I do not think, however, that insulting him is the
best way to explain that save for a few S6 driving tycoons, most people on
the q-list don't have the money to fund new technological ventures in
Russia.  I feel we have a very pleasant international dialogue going on
here, and if we lose people it is because of lack of interest or time, but
not because we ran them away.

This is just MHO, and not intended as a personal attack on anyone.  I hope
this doesn't start a new thread, it is a little anemic on the Audi content,
so I apologize to everyone who already felt it was a dead issue.
