I'm in the same boat...selling my Volvo to buy a truck (ahem, no comments
puhleez) and I'll need to get a new detector since my Passport is so
ancient it's 9 volt! (really)

I'm trying to decide between the 4600 and the 5000...I think the 4600 has a
better display, but I'm not positive...I *do* expect that either will be
more capable than the Solo (and btw, there's a new Solo, out I believe),
for the following reasons:

1. They're bigger, and *could* pack more technology...
2. Aren't designed to maximize battery life...

ICBW.

Looking for comments...maybe even some real life experience...
