I don't think that Dan is remotely suggesting that the fact the Atlantic
Ocean separates us that we should be separate ... his point is that he 
would rather not see *any* club carry on its business using the quattro 
list.  I certainly hope that none of you feel that we do not appreciate 
the contributions from quattro fans in the UK.  For me it is quite the 
opposite, I thoroughly enjoy being able to read about those fortunate 
enough to be able to own an urQ with a 20v turbo motor.  

If you recall Dan's post, he cited the case of the BMW motorcycle list.
In that situation, there was so much MOA [club] political BS being posted
that the presidents [members] asked them to create their own mail list.  
I believe that as long as we are considerate there is not likely to be a
problem.  In this particular instance there were a couple of posts talking
about the jacket availability and some details, and hopefully order status
and such details will be handled through direct e-mail rather than the list.
I think that as long as things like jackets and K-runs are handled in this 
way it certainly would be acceptable in my book!
