PaGid pads (was: A4Q Brakes)

<stuff about brake pads deleted>

I started inquiring about brake pads for my A4q at the NW region quattro
club picnic about a month ago. I spoke with Ned and he recommended the
PaGid RS4-2 (blue) compound brakes. I also hunted throught the archives
and kept an open ear to all mail on brake pad discussion, and as of now,
I am still going with the PaGid's as soon as the oe pads are worn.
Hans-Juergen posted some _very_ helpful numbers (coefs of friction at
various temps, etc) on several pads and the PaGid blue #'s looked to be
perfect for the A4, being a moderate 2200 lbs. Some people have
complained of squeaking with PaGid's, others have had no problems. Ned
did warn me that the PaGid's will squeal a bit until they are warm, and
then should quite down. From browsing the archives, experiences with
rotor wear when using the PaGid's was also mixed, so I don't think that
the are any harder on you rotors than the oem pads. Whatever the case, I
would definately like the increased stopping power and I won't mind the
noise (hey, I knew that bose system would come in handy! :-) If anyone
has experience with PaGid pads, I would be interested in getting a few
more data points to confirm/disconfirm what I have said above. TIA,
