There is a cable, rod that is connected the programmer motor, your motor
(the one that is connected to the programmer and the rod). The rod should
move when you switch to heat or AC. Move it by hand after you disconnect it
from the motor, my guess is that your electric motor on the programmer is
stuck on the AC mode, that is the place that the rod usually ends up.
Disconnect it from the motor and push it by hand to get heat or cold.
