Our 1993 100 CS encountered this problem this summer. We were on an 7 hour roadtrip and
when we stopped for a potty break, we noticed smoke waifting from the right front wheel
well. It was not brakes, coolant, engine oil leaks or anything you would normally
expect. Upon return home I relayed the story to my dealer. He checked it out and said
that the transmission fluid was OVERFILLED, causing it to leak on the exhaust system
making the smoke. He said that this normally was only noticeble on long trips.

Since I've had never experienced this problem before, or since, I took it that my
service advisor had correctly identified the problem. Does this seem plausible to you
folks?
