When were the brakes last flushed and bled? Old (> 1 year) fluid will have
significant amounts of moisture in it, which will lower the boiling point of
the fluid, allowing brake "fade". A bleed and flush is certainly in order

The principles remain true to all vehicles with hydraulic brakes.
