sunday i did the combined phil and scott inspections on the turbo and IC.       
it passed with flying colors!                                                   
- no noticeable endplay in the turbo bearing                                    
- clean blades and housing                                                      
- no splits in the hoses                                                        
- IC looks very clean and dry                                                   
i was concerned when i noticed an accumulation of fluid at the lower part       
of the intercooler.  then i remembered that i had washed the car the day        
before and had only driven it into the garage.  it was only water.  whew!
