Replacing turbo-intercooler hose 200TQW

Well, I finally found my leak, a split where the lower hose
runs into the intercooler from the turbo. 

Bentley doesn't help me, the timid neo-mechanic, much, just 
lists one step removing the hose as part of the turbo removal procedure.
To guage the seriousness/difficulty of the replacement, I called
the local Audi dealer who said it would be 4-6 hours of labor!

Either I'm in way over my head, or the dealer is even worse than I thought
(hmmm...maybe both could be true). I can tell its really tight
working up there, but otherwise I would think a hose replacement would
be simple, as Audis go. I would greatly appreciate some advice.
