shef,

i'd forgotten that you'd spend time in godzone. a mark of taste and discernment
if i might say so ;-)

here in nz, nsx's suffer greivous depreciation. i had a look at a pristine '93 1 owner
car with 35km's, the dealer wanted $120K. new is upwards of $250K here.

and despite what another poster wrote about honda. this is a beautiful car, not
perhaps in the way it looks (imho) but in the way it is put together. honda did
a fantastic job of engineering the car. makes ferrari look plain ordinary (355
and perhaps the other newer (456) ferrari's excepted). it was faster (just), better
handling and better built than the 348, but never sold as well because :-

1) it was a honda
2) it wasn't a ferrari
3) most owners of these sorts of cars buy for image, not driving pleasure.

honda's ability to engineer would stand up to anyone in the industry. their dominance
of formula 1 with their engines is a testimony to that. even the (relatively) low
budget mugen honda engine in the ligier is reckoned to be amongst the most powerful
on the starting grid, if somewhat heavy. they still lead the industry in shut lines as anyone
who has seen an accord will know...

as for a limited edition super honda, i'm certainly not aware of anything that honda
have done apart from the nsx.

yamaha did the ox-10 to showcase their formula 1 engine though....
