fogged windows

Somebody on the list posted a question about fogged windows, and the reply from
the list was that it was a broken spring on one of the flaps of the ventilation
system. When I was under the dash a few months ago, I noticed a broken spring
on the center flap. I also have the fogging problem. 

Is it as simple as replacing the spring? Could somebody reply and let me know
the procedure and the part number for the spring? I'm tired of driving through
an unbearable haze.
