Snow tire conclusion [was Nokian prices]

Friends,
        Well I made some phone calls today. In a comparison of prices between
Greer ent. of WI, G&G Service of WI, and my local tire distributor/dealer Borst
Oil and Tire.. 

Greer's prices were the best of the three:

Nokia Hep10s  Discount Price because I'm buying 8 tires (inc. shipping)    
------------  ----------------------------  

195/65/15     $81.95     [1996 A6]                 

175/70/13     $64.95     [1991 VW Golf GL]
    

I mentioned the Quattro List to him and asked whether Dan had gotten a hold of
him yet. He said that he hadn't heard anything from the Quattro List Meistro.
He also said that the only people who get a discount, other than volume, is his
personal friends. No discounts for the Saab Club either.. 

So.. the only way to get a discount is to buy in volume.. 
The normal prices are $5 higher/tire without the discount.
I think Dan is working on getting together people for a volume purchase.
I'm sorry to say that I can't wait any longer for that.
I'm not sure what the discount would be for purchasing more than eight tires.
