Mobil 1 grades available

I have read many references on this list to a variety of grades of
Mobil 1. Here in the UK 0W40 has just been introduced, 5W40 having been
the grade previously on offer.

What grades are actually available in the US and what are their relative
merits?

Will a 0W40 oil have as good high temperature performance as a 10W60
(Castrol RS is supplied in this grade)? Low temperature performance
certainly seems to be better - lifter noise at startup has all but
disappeared!
