Warning lights & no charge

Yesterday afternoon when leaving work, the alt, brake, and anitlock off
lights remained lit and according to the voltmeter the battery was not
being charged.  

This happened one other time after I washed the car.  On the first start
after the wash, everything was fine.  I drove home (a mile) and shut it
off to walk up and open the garage.  When I restarted it to pull in the
garage, I had these three warning lights lit and no charging.  The next
morning it was okay.  

Well, no such luck this am.  I was thinking a similar problem existed
because it was very wet and slushy yesterday.  I cranked up the garage
heater overnight and put the battery on the charger, but this morning the
lights would still no go out after starting and the battery was not being
charged.

Any ideas?  I checked the alt belt and it's there.  The wires/connections
on the back of the alt seem tight.  Help!  Any suggestions would be much
appreciated.
