Thank you for the back-pats, accolades, and general encouragement. It was a
toughy.
Yes, my '83 Ur-q was the best car that I have ever owned. Even better and more
trustworthy than my '85 4KSq or more fun than my 'P' word...'72 911RS
replica.  And yes,
it is in the hands of another Ur-q nut to enjoy for years. Good and
generous indeed and
I will miss the huge-ass smile it made me crack every time I jumped on it.

Ahhhh, the virtues of advertising. Michelin ads in the states have worked
with children
for years.  I too am sucked in by advertising.  (I am an Art Director in
the advertising field)
This will round out our VW/AUDI stable very nicely. It includes a 1990 90
20'ver quattro
and the new Syncroquattrowagon, for dad and happy new quattro racer baby to be.

The Syncro Series II (Quantum in the US, Passat in D'land/UK, and Santana
in RoW..?) wagon is
but wonderful. Everything that an AWD car should be. 4:11 gears, close
ratio trans,
5cyl 115hp, (ready for the 20v...) interior SPACE, good handling and good
petrol mpg's...
Heck, it's even the neatest "T word"... red color made by VW/AUDI.

Please help me out with this new VW/AUDI Syncroquattrowagon family car guys
& gals...

1. I would like to install some 15x7 rims and 205/50-15 tires, recommendations?
    (thanks for nudge Scott, I was planning on this anyway... BTW how does
an Ur-q get
     31mpg's... 'musta been all downhill...) Compomotive MO's look nice on
it but, ATS type
    10's look stunning (too bad there out of business... ) MB Motoring MB6s
look the part
     too -tried all in Photoshop on the Mac.
2. Does anyone know of used rims for sale that will work for it?
3. I also want a tire that is track/rain worthy (Pirelli P700Z's...?,
Dunlop D40M2's, or RE71's or
     BFG compR1's not shaved... ? I will drive this 45 miles everyday on
the hwy for work in No. VT)
4. What is the correct off-set?  ET 38 is what is on the GTI star type rims
now and
    can I use a rim that sticks out wider to fill the wheel wells a bit,
different offset?
5. Is the lug pattern 4x100mm or did VW make special 4x108mm rims for it?
6. Could Audi 4KCS quattro 4x108mm hubs/rotors fit on?  Or are the Syncro
axles different dia?
7. Lastly, where can i find out techy data on it?  Here? if so, Let mine be
a project.

Future (soon) mods include:  Hella fog/driving lights plastered all over
the front... Fuba Beestinger...
20'ver engine...? Carbon sticker trim all over and inside...  Detriming and
badging.... rally style mudflaps,
made specially by "Vermont SportsCar" and ahhhhhhhhhhhh but of course, my
specialty...
 "SportSyncro" black outline hand cut vinyl decals all over... I going
after the DTM/Rallye
syncroquattrowagon hybrid look.
