I run P700Zs on the ur-quattro. I find them excellent for grip and for
mileage, but I find the cold/wet combination really impacts performance.
Warm/dry is always best, and warm/wet or cold/dry are good.

I stopped to take a cellphone call on the way back from a UK quattro Club area
meeting last month, and John Coughtrie (for whom I was lighting the way)
stopped because he thought I'd stopped for a problem. We both noticed clouds
of steam rising from the car, and found they were coming from the tyres!

The only problem is availability. P700Zs are now only made in batches, it
seems, and sometimes have to be ordered with a fair lead time. I now have
seven - four on the car, one as a full-size spare and two at home. I rotate
all three every 5000 miles.
