A4 Delta stereo question

Hi guys:

Amid all of the complicated stereo discussion flying around, I
have a much more pedestrian question.

I picked up my A4 a couple of weeks ago and so far I love it.
However, the Delta stereo (non-Bose) that came with the car has
no obvious balance control. It has a fader (front-to-back) but
no balance (left-to-right). There also is no mention of the
balance in the radio manual or the instructional audio cassette
that came with the car. My salesman told me that the balance is
electronically controlled and has no adjustment.

The problem is that the sound is definitely biased to the right
side of the car, which is endlessly annoying. I stopped by the
service department briefly and they came out and looked at it,
agreed it sounded off, but were stumped as to a solution. They
think it might be the wiring or a faulty stereo and are ordering
a replacement just in case. When it comes in I will bring my
car in for them to look it over and possible replace the radio.

After the long setup, my question is this: Does anybody know if
there is some sort of secret way to adjust the balance? I find
it hard to believe there is no balance adjustment, and figure
that it must be sort of hidden like the controls for GALA. I
tried several button combinations and holding buttons while
turning it on but found nothing. I'd rather not wait on a new
stereo and go through the hassle of bringing it in if it can be
solved more easily. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Mark Blum
