Well, I spent some time analyzing my G-Analyst traces last night -- boy, do
spins make for really interesting traces! -- and have come to the conclusion
that I probably WAS trailbraking even though I was trying to avoid doing it
... old habits die hard!

I AM working on this but doing it automatically every time is easier said
than done ... like I said, I'm used to dragging the brakes all the way up to
the apex and using them to help turn the car. Man-oh-man, does this ever
screw things up with a Quattro (or quattro, for that matter)!
BTW, I was scanning Ur-Q photos out of various magazines last night and
noticed that, starting with the '84s, an awful lot of the action photos show
the inside front wheel lifting off the ground, something that I didn't see
with the earlier ones ... I know Audi revised the rear suspension on the
later cars but didn't think they had revised the front at all other than
changing to the 4kq-based control arms and a/r bar. If the a/r bar's so
stiff as to be lifting the inside front wheel at the limit, maybe this needs
to be tinkered with a bit. I have one each of the smaller diameter bars
from a 4k and 4kq to experiment with ... has anyone tried these on their
Ur-Q instead of even larger ones?
