Don't know about your washer squirter problem, but....

Holy Sh*t!!  Don't mix up your windshield homebrew in those ratios! (or
don't smoke when you use the washers!!) 

I unfortunately can't remember where I saw it, but the amount of
methanol in the windshield stuff is way lower than 60%.  I think it is
like 10-15% or something.  I had some "high octane" windshield stuff one
time that was like 30%, and I never bought it again 'cause it stunk up
the car like alcohol whenever I squirted the windshield.  (and who knows
what to the paint!)

Low grade methanol is pretty cheap; less than $1.00 per gallon in
quantity.  Your argument is valid that $1.00 per gallon for the "blue
fluid" is "highway robbery"! (except you forgot the $.000001 worth of
detergent)

I have some better ones tho....

I can buy a gallon of gas for $ 1.15

I can buy a gallon of bleach for $ 0.69

Both of the above take processing to produce, especially the gas.

How come a bottle of spring water is $ 1.00???  Stuff comes out of the
ground and is put in a bottle.  Talk about profit margin!!
