I have done this myself, except I kept the factory S.S. piping up to
the (ex)center muffler and continued with the same diameter piping
ending in an "aluminized" 3-chamber SuperTrap and the original S.S. tip.
Total cost: $135. It did improve the top end, but the bottom suffered a
little.
