Re: Butane lighters unite

are a Copal Sekonic View Spot and a Lunasix 3. Despite the comparative
unsophistication of the latter, it's the one I would propose using in its
incident light mode - see the underside. It's fairly readily available to
anyone in the business - Eric can probably find one lying around - my budget
doesn't stretch to the sort of gear he uses.

Not really sure sophistication is really at issue.... The cutoffs will be
sharp enough that measurement of light in hollows will be significant enough
that my dad's old leica meter will prolly suffice.... The numbers are
calculatable with a margin of error, conditions, voltage, wiring, aiming etc
will null the major differences. Any significant difference can be
addressed. If 3 independent measurements are taken, regardless of cost of
machinery involved, the results can be overlap and compared to the drawings
listed by the manufacturer. This, actually, will be a very easy exercise,
especially if just comparing lumens....
