You are correct about being wrong.  In the U.S. market, all A6 wagons were,
and are, automatic transmission only.  As earlier noted in a response to the
original poster's question, (and again, specific to the U.S. market) the only
choice for a stick-shift, 7 passenger (5+2) quattro wagon from Audi is the
model year 1995 S6 wagon.
