HOW BAD IS A REPAIR ON CENTER SUPPORT BEARING 4KQ 86

Quattrotistas,

Am looking at an 86 4kq that I heard about right here (thanks Dan!).  I am
told it has a bad center support bearing.  My mech. said it could cost up to
$1000.00 to repair.  This is a guy that has been working on my 84 coupe fwd
for years and I trust his initial evaluation, although he has not fully
priced it out yet.

Any feedback on the job would be apprciated.
