I can verify this.  I used a Fram once.  I change my oil every 5000
miles.  My oil pressure went down to 2 bar (normal is 3 to 5+ bar)
a while before that.  An oil and filter change fixed it.  If you
want to use a cheap filter, use Delco, they aren't bad.  The after-
market OEM filters (Mann, Mahle) aren't that expensive considering
the consequences.
