Same thing happened to me with my '85 4kq.  Only they stole the original
Rothenburg stereo!  Broke the heater controls, damaged the wiring, destroyed
the console (what an idiot)  total tab US$1,200.00!  Was able to get a
pull-out Alpine unit (was 7 years ago) with the insurance money.  I know,
it's a PIA. As our Pres would say: "I feel your pain." But of course, I
REALLY do understand.
