RE: Engine Cleaning
I have found that by doing this job twice a year on my street cars using
Simple Green and a pressure nozzle
on my garden hose I can effectively clean my motor and engine
compartment. Admittedly the first time
it my be necessary to use an automotive degreaser and the coin-op. After
that, if you do it with regularity
it should be possible to maintain a clean engine compartment.
As an aside, my mechanic gives me a pretty bad time about this,
claiming I am fanatical about keeping my
engine cleaner then the car itself! Currently that wouldn't be the case
so I also keep surgical gloves on hand
(literally) to keep my hands clean.
