Re[2]: Ign. Sw. Mod./Steering column

Yeah, sorry, I remember those washers now. They are dished, which
makes them sort of "one way." They go on nicely, and wedge trying to
come off. Just pry at them and work your way around. If that doesn't
work, maybe cut them with a Dremel, and get new ones.

It was more like five years ago when I did that. Once again, sorry
     for trivializing it.

You make it sound SO EASY! I did in fact finally accomplish all of the
above procedure, but the aluminum housing did NOT exactly "slide right
off."

The ignition switch module DOES come out from behind and no pulling of
the lock cylinder was neccessary. My only problem now is getting the two
"washers" that hold the spring pressing against the aluminum housing
onto the steering shaft. I recall a lister offering me advice on "how
to" achieve that some time back(he was way ahead of me), but can't quite
remember(made a boo-boo and deleted it) and need a refresher course. Can
anyone offer help and let me know how to push the washers back down the
shaft without me having to buy a tool.
                                Thanks To All Again!
