RE: lost my motor "guard"

I lost the "under motor guard" plastic piece on my 90 90Q20v after several
attacks on it.
I would advise replacing all the screws, nuts, and whatever is holding it
on...I think 3 towards rear of car..3 slats up front
and at least 2 nuts on each side near the wheel wells. The plastic has a
tendency to bulge inconveniently when you only attach
it in a few places...this is..to be sure..a pain in the butt during winter
month oil changes.
Mine ripped free initially during a rather spirited ride on the beach in
Southwest Washington....ooops, was that a bushing too?
...and then permantly free during the Great New England Flood of 1996.
Long winded point being...it will keep the grit down...but possibley
more important are the venturis located at the rear of the
piece....Not sure what purpose they serve...but gotta believe they're there
for a reason.
The part is available for $128 with Q-list discount at Clair Motors in
Boston....or maybe dan Simoes still has an extra one in his
backyard.
     Thanks again Dan.

BTW: I am -not- going to South America to drive fast cars or shoot movies
or anything like that. I'll be here, in Boston, just
being normal (or as close to that as possible).
