Jim is absolutely right. You can not overappreciate the value of a CB in
the car. I have gradually come to rely on my CB more than on my V1!

It's a pity that I did not get to see it during our last meet in
Harrisbourg at the Mid-Atlantic Q-club.
Mine is hidden in the driver side parcel shelf, under the dash. I
hardwired it's output to the LF speaker.
The antenna is a front mounted sloped one, of a through the glass
variety. A very stealth install indeed.
