Ditto!! Usually, nowadays, my radar detector never goes off!! The CB is a MUST!!

A very stealth install indeed.
I remember seeing your setup at the meeting prior to this last one. Nice
arrangement. I am surprised, however, that you've had the success you've had
with the glass-mount. Very surprising, since I did not like mine, and a guy
that works for me just got rid of his. And the guy from Antenna World
strongly recommended against them. As well, all the "experts" in the
rec.radio.cb newsgroup also discouraged their use.
I'm very surprised that you could get 20+ miles with it, especially with it
not tuned with an SWR meter. Even the K40 could only get about 10 miles in
each direction.
Hmm... go figure. Oh well, as long as it works for you....
(BTW, how did you get it grounded properly? Did you run a ground wire to it
somehow?)
