TAP's 85 5000t fer sale

Hi folks,
On my recent visit to TAP, I noticed that he had two very interesting cars
for sale. One had some damage and he was going to work on (including installing
the Euro-lights and the spring/chip). The other was in ready-for-sale
condition.
   CAR:
         1985 5000T
         147,000 miles
         Dark Brown
         Slushbox
	 Modifications: Chip/boost, air cleaner,modified exhaust.BBS
alloys. Silicon IC hose, racing push button starter.

I asked what work has been done to it, and Ivor replied:
"We have had the car for 3 years and anything
the car has needed we have done, new battery 10/96, ex manifold
gaskets 8/96, intercooler hose (silicon) 12/96. "

I then asked what needs to be fixed:
"Both electric front windows cables broke. E/roof switch need replacing."

I didn't drive the car while I was down there, but it looked fairly clean.
There wasn't any visible damage or rust, and the paint looked decent. I pressed
down on the front and the rear to get a feel for how hard the suspension was
(as compared to my shot suspension) and the car felt firm.

I believe Ivor used the car to test his performance mods on. That can be a
mixed bag though.. knowing that the car was well worked but also knowing that
it is solid and maintained by Ivor himself.

I tried to get a few of my friends to buy this car, but to no avail. I hope
somebody on the list can find a home for it. Let Ivor know at:

Or E-mail me back and I'll let him know. In either case, tell him I sent 'cha.
Usual disclaimers.

                                89 200q (155K miles)
                                Siena College
                                Albany NY

P.S. I forgot about the cost. He said.. $1800. I checked Kelly's Blue book and
this price is very respectable. I would even squeeze to call it a steal. If I
or my family had the need for yet *another* car, this car would have been in my
driveway yesterday. 9 is enough for one family.
