Extended Warranty?

For my last 3 vehicles I have purchased extended warranties. I do this
mostly so I can predict my ownership costs and avoid big surprises.
Though, I am definitely money to the good at this time given the repairs
required on those vehicles. My preference is manufacturer extended
warranties, even though more expensive, because they are fully
transferable, are valid at any dealership and require no claim submittal
process.

Is there such a beast for the Audi (U.S.) and is it a good deal? What is
covered? My car is still on order and the dealer has not mentioned
anything on extended warranties yet.
