Worked in Antwerp in '89, and the first thing I learned was the "right
hand rule", which works differently than here in the States.  In
Belgium, unless there are traffic controls (eg. signals) the guy on the
right has the right of way, period.  So if you're on the a main drag and
a guy comes out of a side street into your path, it's your fault if you
hit him!  The exception is if he "hesitates" at the intersection, he is
presumed to have yielded the right of way.

I wanted to buy an Audi to bring home, but there wasn't time to figure
out the taxes/duties/import restrictions.
