Our first Audi was a graphite '86 4000CS UnQ. What was unique was it
had a transplanted red leather interior, apparently from a CE (sticker
said it came w/ beige). We bought it a year old, when the well-to-do
lady who owned it got pregnant and traded for a dark gray ovloV wagon,
also w/ special red interior. This car (the Audi) was gorgeous, and not
at all gaudy.
Interesting thing was when the vinyl on the door panels came loose from
under the trim strip, the dealer said he showed _no_ red interior in his
parts fiche! BTW, this is fairly easy to fix w/ contact cement, short
staples, and a hair dryer.
