Gee, I hate to involve myself in one of these "cosmetic" threads, but surely
you don't mean the 16 spoke gold rim with 5 lugs? They look great! Perhaps
you're thinking of the early 5000 *non-turbo* wheel with it's 9 silver
"spokes" and blacked out areas? Definitely a goofy looking wheel, second
only to the Jaguar alloys that looked for all the world like cheap tin wheel
covers (late 80's XJS's?)

BTW, just to throw a little more gasoline on the driver (so sue me) coupes
look good in mars red as well.

And, while I'm on the subject of gasoline, not to encourage needless
litigation, you can become sensitized to toluene (major ingredient in hi
test unleaded) to the point where "if your neighbor uses spray paint, you
get hives" (quoting my glue supplier/safety engineer) I am on the
borderline due to some foolish use of a TDI (toluene diisocyanate)
containing marine adhesive to brace up a pair of large speakers a few years
ago - got a sore throat, and now I sneeze and itch around toluene (love
those vapor recovery pump hoses).

So the unfortunate lister who got the pink shower had better watch out for
long term health consequences. Chemicals were meant to be ingested and
enjoyed, not bathed in.
