Jeff - I must take the time to lay to rest some of your anxiety!!
I, being in your "general part of the world" (Pacifica, CA) feel qualified
to do this, having owned an '87 4000 quattro, that I purchased from Steve
Krenzen Cars, San Rafael CA, since October 1992.
The car had 76k mi and was in above average condition.

Steve told me that this car was a one owner "lease return" (he bought the
car from a leasing co).
Steve showed concern for my satisfaction, he even called me a couple times
during the first 6 months or so to ask how I liked it. I still have the
car, now 144k on it and plan on keeping it another 144k! I would not
hesitate to do business with Steve again, and I plan to, someday....

Steve's a relatively honest car guy who is concerned with maintaining his
good reputation in the biz.
