I can ask for 6gs without having the fuel pump shuting off ....

You make good basic sound points but were not talking about 
a plain vanilla 5ks spinning an 010 auto slush box here doing 
2 grand at 55... 

Were talking about 4kq's with tall gears and a mere 115hp. 
Where 55 means 3 g's,  You havta have enough R's 
to downshift to 3rd so you can blast past that 200Q in front 
of you that's towing the house trailer (with a 944S on the roof ) !!!
