10V I-5s don't rev

The I5 engine was designed to survive the throttle being wedged open for hours 
at a time on German Autobahns.  Believe me - I have sat behind VW and Audi 5-
cylinder engines at the red line for up to an hour at a time.  I was based in 
Frankfurt and serving the whole country - the only places I flew to were Munich 
, Hamburg and Berlin.  Everywhere else - I would drive, and the engine spent 
the majority of its life at the red line.
