Huh?

The I5 engine was designed to survive the throttle being wedged open for hours
at a time on German Autobahns. Believe me - I have sat behind VW and Audi 5-
cylinder engines at the red line for up to an hour at a time. I was based in
Frankfurt and serving the whole country - the only places I flew to were Munich
, Hamburg and Berlin. Everywhere else - I would drive, and the engine spent
the majority of its life at the red line.
