Regarding the 89 200TQ purchase, The engine in these 89 cars "MC version" is the same as the 86-88 5000TQ up to VIN # KN038261. After that VIN # they went to the dual knock sensor, higher compression "MC" engine with smaller K24 turbo etc. Check the archives for previous posts by me and others on additional differences.
