Steering question

Hello all. I'm having a weird problem with the steering on my 1990 100, and
hope someone can offer some insight as to what might be wrong.

What happens is this: Often the steering pulls to one side. Bad alignment? No
-- it switches sides. On the way to work, it will pull to the left part of
time, work perfectly part of the time, and pull to the right part of the
time. It seems random to me.

Also, sometimes the level of steering effort doesn't seem right. Sometimes
it's really heavy when driving slow, and sometimes it's really light and
wandery at highway speeds.

Any ideas what might be wrong?
