Warm-up regulators simply wear out. I _told_ you two fingers were pointing at
it.

Do you have a sediment trap between the tank and the fuel pump? About 3.5"
long and 2.5" in diameter - made of plastic with the input at the top of one
end and the output in the centre of the other?
The fuel pump itself can be used to flush the petrol through the system. If
you pull the fuel pump relay and connect battery positive to the connector
parallel to and nearest to the wing of the car, the pump will run. It moves
about 1.8 litres a minute - so fifteen minutes should flush a half-full tank
through the filters.
(Of course, the car also does this while you're driving along ...)
