Re: Passing the gas...

Don't know if this is the same, but I had a case of gas fumes around
the Coupe after leaving it for a few hours. Also, starts seemed to
take longer than normal when car was left for an hour or more. Found
that the aluminum sealing washers used on the banjo fittings on the
fuel filter in front of the left rear wheel had deteriorated, and I had a gas

leak. Just an idea.

 Hi gang,

My CQ sometime exibits a strange trait. When I have a half to a
full tank of gas and drive the car then let it sit for a few hours
I can smell gas in the cockpit. (No Mr. D'Amato & Mr. Royal, this
is not MY own personal excretion!) ;) I can sometimes smell it
below the half tank designation as well but it's not usually as
noticable. Does anyone have any bright ideas on what might cause
this? I have a twisty commute from home to school and driving
while I'm high on gas fumes probably ain't the best idea! ;) haha

 TIA,

 Darin
