'82 Audi 100 2.2i injection (still)

Hi all,

For those who don't know, I have been having major problems with my FI
system, having to replace all of it, over a couple of months.

I have now attributed the problem to dirt. I still don't know where it is
coming from, I'll further investigate this.

The reason I'm telling you this, is because I have discovered a "quick fix"
for the warm-up regulators that were dying on me. Simply remove the fuel
hoses, and force feed it with carborettor cleaner (from both fuel
connections). All the deposits dissapear, or get washed away. Gives the
regulator a new lease of life. I wonder if this would work with injectors too?

The regulator soon gets clogged up again, but I prefer this to the clogging
of new injectors. At least the regulators are easily available for 20ukp
(Heathrow VW AUDI). I have been quoted 40ukp for a second hand unit, and
between 260ukp+VAT and 293ukp+VAT for a new one.

Cheers,

Mike
