Re: "discount" UFO's & S4 prices
A possible source for discount UFO discs is..... the dealer! Make sure the
dealer quotes you the cost for the discs as an exchange part. This is the same
part number, only with an "X" on the end. Oddly, the fiche shows no exchange
available for the '91 200's, only for the V8's. Same disc, same p/n. Price is
about 50-60% of "new". Changing the UFO discs is the easiest (but not the
cheapest) brake job you will ever do. Make sure you have the correct TORX
driver for the disc retention screw and the $9.99 Sears piston compressor = 1
hour, working slooooow.
Seen in the paper: '92 S4, low km's, 6 speed tranny, $13,500.
Oh, that's in Germany, whoops. Guess the resale on my '91 200 is pretty low
over here.
