Charlie:
Not to worry. 118K is peanuts for that car....
Check turbo for boost.. in 3rd at about 3000 rpm's full throttle should
reach about 1.4 with initial lag ( assumming no modifications).
If very concerned, remove rubber hose (elbow) from turbo output to
intercooler ( under car )and check for oil...little oil ...good...more
than a tablespoon...suspect turbo bearings...not fatal but with some
more hours and hard driving in about 20K more, you may have to spend
some money. ( I wouldn't worry).
Only critical area is timing belt...and it is done....
Check air conditioning system for full fuctionality.
Things for you to do ASAP (money is not an issue Hi, Hi.
Check replace belts (3) Alternator, Power steering/brakes),Air cond.
compressor.
Flush cooling system replace with DEX-COOL coolant and destilled water.
Change oil and filter (recommend synthetic...red line or Mobil 1)
Flush brake system with new dot 4 fluid .(good quality)
Drain and refill differentials ( recommend Mobil synthetic gear lub
75-90)
Lubricate propeller shaft u-joint grease nipple ( nobody does it !)
should be done every 15k with lithium grease...very tricky to turn prop
shaft for access...
Replace air filter and fuel filter.....
Flush (clean strainer)and replace power steering and power brake fluid (
pentosin) very important to preserve seals and "O" rings....
and finally check 4 (four) wheel alignment and balance....(reputable
place) and you will be a very happy owner for many miles to come...
Good luck
