My Audi is Laser Red so I do not actually have first hand knowledge of 
Audi pearlescent paints but, however, my Toyota is White Pearl Mica. 
First time I ordered the touch up they gave me the Pearl top coat and 
it looked like hell where I touched it up. I then called Toyota and 
they told me there are actually two paints required for this finish. 
One is the White base coat and the other is the Mica. I now just use 
the white basecoat touch up for stone chips and it looks MUCH better 
than using either the combo or the Mica top coat, go figure!!!
I have been told that pearlescent finishes are a horror to spray/match 
and it gets worse with age, white more so than other colours.
