I doubt it, because I have Hella 550's (rectangles) with 100w lights, and
have not had a problem.  I keep them covered unless in use, but in use
includes hour long drives, and they still look like new (8 months since I
installed.)  Also, A friend has a trick GTV-6 alfa with 500 (100w) rounds,
and they are uncovered constantly, and they have no problems...
