Getting TDC

Andrew,

The easiest way is to have 2 people, one to watch the fly wheel timing mark,
one to turn the crank. One person can do it with the timing belt cover(s)
off by craning over the top of the front grill and watching for the sheave
mark to come up to the mark on the coolant pump for gross alignment. Exact
alignment can be done by then peeking at the timing wheel to find "0" and
inch it over. Practice makes perfect; after you miss it a number of times,
you'll get really good at it... Using a hand starter switch always seems a
little like Russian roulette to me; I have trouble jogging it into position.

Cheers!
