RE: (Fwd) Which rack is better for an A4?
I personally have used the Thule system for years on my 86 4KCSQ. I went with
Thule because they used a rectangular tube system and Yakima used a round tube
system. People I knew that had Yakima complained because their attachments would
rotate about on the round tubing. It made more sence to me to use a "square or
rectangular" system for stability. I've never had a problem, I have Ski, Bike,
Canoe, and several other attachments and love it! I also use the Thule straps
with a winch type attachment for hauling things like plywood, lumber etc.. Works
great! Hope this helps a little....

Subject: (Fwd) Which rack is better for an A4?
A friend of mine (A4Q owner, but not a list subscriber)
has the following questions about ski racks ...
I'm just about ready to buy a ski/bike rack for my A4, and I'm considering
either a Thule or a Yakima. I was wondering what sort of experiences people
have had out there with the two.
>From my experiences, I know that both are fine products, but that the degree
of
convenience, stability of attachment, etc. depends very heavily on what kind of
car you have.
