Ur-Q turbo-to-IC hose...

This weekend, while I was rolling around underneath my Ur-Q, I noticed that
the turbo-to-intercooler hose was crimped a bit on the inside of each bend.
Since this is potentially detrimental to performance, I figured it was
something I need to look into...

So, is this normal? The receipts I received with the car show it was
replaced just over 9 months ago and the hose otherwise appears to be in
excellent condition ... btw, the hose is also pretty flexible, which makes
me wonder if it "balloons up" under boost. I'd like to think all the energy
is going into the motor and not the hose!
